ABOUT.
The ‘leadershit’ book, site, and characters are examples of our personal experiences working with poor leaders. We have been there; we understand the pain, frustration and heartache that many of you will have either been through or may be going through now.
This is not intended to be a finger-pointing exercise that serves little purpose and helps nobody. Instead, we aim to create a culture of learning from often traumatic experiences.
If there is one key lesson we have learnt from our experiences, it is that there is light at the end of the tunnel; things can, do and will get better…trust us.
Take solace in the fact that you are not alone; the vast majority of us have worked for or with a ‘leadershit’. The lessons they provide are invaluable in helping you to become a more rounded leader and person.
In this same vein, we all have a little ‘leadershit’ in us – none of us is perfect, and if you think you are, we direct you to the ‘arrogant shit‘ and a mirror. Indeed, for each of us, having had the opportunity to reflect on all of the characters we have identified, it is poignant to note that all of us frequently commented, “oh man…I remember being that leader”.
Thanks to all our contributors, especially the ‘shits’ from our own experiences – you have furthered and bettered each of us with your unique leadership approaches.
