Description

Leadershits’ is a collection of short stories based on collective experiences of bad leadership.

The ‘leadershits’ of our lives help to shape who we are, our relationship with our jobs, our view of leadership and our understanding of appropriate performance outcomes. They are the poster boys and girls of ineffective leadership in the workplace.

Frequently, when you are in the midst of working for an awful boss, it can be difficult to see through the short-term pain. We get it. We’ve been there. Consequently, this book is a celebration of the lessons we can all take from the bad leadership experiences we go through.

It is intended to provide a light-hearted, yet realistic acknowledgement that you aren’t alone as you endure your own leadershit episode. Working for a bad boss is just a moment in time, it will pass. Others have been in your situation and many more will follow. You do, and you will come out the other side.

By the same token, the book makes no attempts to ‘chuck muck’; far from it. As you read, you will see, there is a little shit in all of us.

Such an enjoyable read – this book will make you chuckle plus 100% of the profits goes a fabulous charity called Headway North. Highly recommend especially for leadership training.

Love this book. Honest, witty, funny and a very real reflection of those we meet and or have worked for. Laughed all the way through but got some really useful tips and reminders to deal with the not so great leaders in life. Bought a copy for Mum, who kept telling which ‘shit’ she was taking to bed (to read of course!)

A fantastic book, so funny and everyone will recognise someone from past or present that represents one of the Leadershit styles… (would love to get a few leadershits I have known to read it) Can also act as a good reminder for us all not to drift into these behaviours….

Still enjoying the book. I bought it because of frustrations with a manager but it has ended up becoming a guide on the traits not to develop. Worth every penny & the proceeds go to a worthy charity which is a bonus

I got a free copy of this a couple of years ago and loved it so much that I regifted it to a colleague.

Recently I found myself recounting the lessons and examples that the book provided in a hilariously funny tone, so I bought another copy, and one for another colleague. We enjoy making comparisons to bosses we have had in our careers and being reassured that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

A great read, for over and over again. Highly recommend.

A quick, witty read, where readers at levels will nod along, recalling their own memories of working with poor leaders. Light-hearted business reading.

This little book gave me hope and made me smile too When when we are subjected to clumsy and irresponsible leadership it’s too easy to question oneself…this book reminded me that even those deemed to be the best are still human and often get it so wrong..it also reminded me how important it is to continually self reflect ..just to remind ourselves not to make similar mistakes… being in a position of leadership is such a responsibility and a privilege, this book reminds us how easy it can be to make or break others through our actions and words.
